Equine Educational Reproduction Program

ISU offers reproductive services to the public and usually stands one or more stallions for breeding. For a list of services offered, please click the link to Breeding Fees. ISU’s broodmare herd is comprised of approximately half Thoroughbred and half Quarter Horse mares which are used for teaching, research, and extension. Students enrolled in Department of Animal Science courses learn about safe horse handling, welfare, management, reproduction and marketing.
