The Little North American is a showmanship contest for members of the Block & Bridle and Dairy Science Clubs. Competitors are divided into two groups of Showman-Novice, for members that would like to gain experience in one species and Professional, for those that are willing to share their experience with the other members. There is a Novice and Pro division in five species: Beef, Dairy, Horse, Sheep, and Swine. A Champion and Reserve is awarded in each division of the Pro and Novice. The champions and reserve champions then compete against each other for an over all Champion Pro and Champion Novice. For the overall winner each competitor shows all five species.
