Block and Bridle is doing its part by holding several fundraising events to make money to fund the new Agricultural Student Learning Center. Many Block and Bridle events,such as Cyclone Classic, are too big for the Farm Bureau Pavilion and are currently help at local fair grounds. Block and Bridle members are very excited for this new addition to campus facilities. At the Animal Science Department Banquet we had a raffle for interest group themed basked and painted a shovel symbolizing “Breaking Ground”for the pavilion. All items in the raffle were donated by businesses. During the summer we held an online auction for the old judging team trophies and plaques.This allowed team members to purchase awards their team received. During the fall semester we sold Block and Bridle Club t-shirts highlighting all 7interest groups with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the pavilion. In addition to hosting events on campus to raise awareness for the new pavilion, we visited with various commodity groups in Iowa on behalf of the Department of Animal Science. Our fundraising efforts on campus totaled over $5,000. These funds will be used to help fund the pavilion and publicize Block and Bridle.
