Learners to Leaders Students Visit Dairy Farm |
Thirty high school students from six different northwest Iowa schools visited the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences on March 26 as part of the Learners to Leaders program, an initiative sponsored by Smithfield Foods, Inc. Don and Marylou Ahrens, who farm near Osage, coordinate the program. The goal is to create confident leaders by providing them with the skills and experiences to succeed. Andy Zehr, marketing director, talked to the students about admissions and scholarships.
