An Iowa State team won the college division in the 79th Hoard's Dairyman Cow Judging contest in May. The contest involves looking at photos of various breeds of dairy cows and submitting written forms based on those photos. The Iowa State team won with an average score of 458.8 (out of 500) to beat a team from Ohio State that averaged 458.0. Iowa State had three teams enter the contest. All participants were in the AnS 335 Dairy Cattle Selection and Judging class this past semester.
