Instruction
Dr. Kenealy serves as the Professor-in-Charge of the Dairy Science curriculum and as section leader for Animal Science teaching. His teaching responsibilities include orientation in animal science, AnS 110; survey of the animal industry, AnS 114; animal nutrition, AnS 319; and employment and career development, AnS 311. Dr. Kenealy also serves as an undergraduate advisor in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

Research
Dr. Kenealy's field of research is dairy cattle nutrition and management.

USDA-FAS training of Bulgarian and Serbian scientists (2003-2005)
USDA-Cochran Fellow training for Turkish scienist (2002)
Review of Indian National Agricultural Technology Project (1997)
Ukrainian Linkage Team between College of Agriculture, ISU and National Agricultural University, Kiev, Ukraine to develop curricula which would allow exchange of students between Ukraine and ISU; conducted in Ukraine in 1994 through 1998
ISU-Ensminger Ag-Tech Schools team in Ukraine and Russia (1993) and Ukraine (1996) to present lectures on current concepts and practices in American agriculture
Sister States Project between Iowa and Hebei Province, People's Republic of China, to enhance educational and commercial exchanges
