Background and Education
Muhammad received his B.Sc. and M.Sc.(with Honors) from University at.Faisalabad prior to coming to Iowa State for his PhD. He majored in Nutritional Physiology. Following his graduation, he returned to Pakistan as an Assistant Professor at Faisalabad specializing in Dairy Production.

Current Position
Muhammad is currently Professor and Dean, Faculty of Animal Production and Technology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan.

Current Work Responsibilities
Muhammad oversees the teaching, research, administration and development of his administrative unit at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

Describe your graduate program at Iowa State:
I worked with Dr. Jerry Young and Dr. Tyler. My project was titled ' Feeding high forage diets and replacing non-structural carbohydrates with supplemental fat in dairy cows'.

In what ways has your degree from ISU impacted your professional and personal development?
This is all because of the exposure and experience I gained from ISU.

What advice would you give to prospective graduate students considering Animal Science at Iowa State?
You should be very clear about your future plans and make full use of time available for professional development.
