Research Dr. Rouse's area of research was beef feedlot management, including real-time ultrasound to determine body composition and marbling of beef cattle, relationship of frame sizes with boxed beef and retail yield, and an evaluation of beef grading system.
Professional Affiliations American Society of Animal Science. Livestock Committee chair, Commodity Liaison Committee. Beef teaching unit and Rhodes Research Farm coordinator.
