Dr. Rothschild teaches a class in International animal science (Ans 441X) and one in Food security (Globe 211) and is a guest lecturer for several undergraduate and graduate courses

Dr. Rothschild's areas of research are gene mapping; identification of genes controlling growth; reproduction, heat stress and disease resistance of swine, cattle, sheep, goats, chickens and developmental issues in shrimp, cats and dogs;
