Research Dr. Brackelsberg's areas of research and interest were in beef cattle and lamb composition and the genetic resources of domestic livestock in the world.
Professional Affiliations American Society of Animal Science, International Animal Agriculture Program Committee Chair; Council for Agricultural Science and Technology; National Association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture; Fulbright-Hayes Study Abroad Project to Korea, member. Dr. Brackelsberg has been an invited lecturer in Ukraine, Russia, Cuba, Costa Rica, Ethiopia and Pakistan.
