Research
Dr. Berger's areas of research are high performance scientific computing procedures that contribute to the genetic enhancement of livestock; genetic evaluation of animals on a national basis, as well as research into the development and improvement of these evaluations; and scientifically acceptable models for parameter estimation, prediction of breeding values and analysis of data sets that service the livestock industry.
