Meat Judging Team Competes at 2016 American Royal Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest

The Iowa State University Meat Judging Team recently competed in the 2016 American Royal Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest presented by Elanco Animal Health and hosted by Nebraska Beef, Omaha, NE.  The team was 3rd in beef grading; 4th in overall beef; 7th in beef judging and reasons; and 10th in pork judging and total placings. In the contest the ISU team finished in 9th place.  Michael Stender, Aurelia, was 3rd high individual in beef grading and 7th high individual in lamb judging. Additional team members include: Austin Egolf, Dillsburg, PA; Michaella Fevold, Story City; Zack Peppmeier, Shannon City; Paige Whitney, Ida Grove; Rachel Wynn, Bedford, IN; and Laura Yoder, Kalona.
