The Iowa State University Meat Judging Team recently competed in the Cargill High Plains Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest held in Friona, Texas. Twelve teams competed in the event and the team placed in 7 th behind Texas Tech , Colorado State University, Texas A&M, Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, and Florida. Individual results included: Drew Wilson – 5 th in lamb judging and 7 th in beef grading; and Taylor Wulf – 7 th in total placings. Team members also included: Austin Lanphier, New Sharon; Stephanie Martin, Vincent; and Beth Zuber, Williamsburg.
In two weeks the team will travel to Tyson in Dakota City, NE, for The International (the national championship).
