The Animal Genetics and Biotechnology Group (AGBG) is an energetic team of scientists within the Interdepartmental Genetics Major at Iowa State University. The group provides research opportunities that emphasize the development of a strong background in fundamental biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology. The AGBG has been awarded USDA National Needs Graduate Fellowships in Animal Biotechnology. The fellowships provide stipends of $22,000/year, as well as paid tuition and health insurance for three years to highly qualified students.
