Dairy science students head to Midwest Regionals

January 31, 2019

Forty Dairy Science club members attended the American Dairy Science Association Midwest Regional Conference at North Dakota State on January 25 - 27th. This is a three-day event where students get the opportunity to participate in contests, attend workshops and participate with virtual farm tours. Students learn about production, management, promotion and advocacy for the dairy industry.

Iowa State dairy science student and club President, Katelyn Goldsmith, is the regional secretary/treasurer and will be retiring from this role. Harrison Furlow, Animal Science Sophomore, will be running for regional office for the upcoming year. Katelyn says “ADSA is so important for students to experience as it allows them to network with peers in our industry while learning about emerging technology in the dairy world.”
