The American Society of Animal Science and the Canadian Society of Animal Science joined forces this year to hold their annual meeting and trade show together in Baltimore, Maryland! The meeting's focus was Animal Science and Technology: Ensuring Food Security.
Iowa State University faculty and students took home some awards and scholarships. Below are those who were awarded:

- Extension Award: Dr. John F. Patience
- Bouffault International Agriculture Award: Dr. Curtis R. Youngs
- ASAS Early Career Achievement Award: Dr. Stephanie L. Hansen
- Joseph P. Fontenot Appreciation Club Travel Scholarship: Erin Deters
