Gamma Sigma Delta awards Animal Science faculty and alumni

Gamma Sigma Delta is the honor society of agriculture and we had many animal science faculty and students that were awarded and inducted into membership.

Aileen Keating received the Research Mission Award. Sherrlyn Olsen received the Teaching Mission Award. Joe Cordray received the International Mission Award. Ranga Appuhamy Jayasooriya was initiated into membership.

Emilie Tamblyn, sophomore in animal science, received the Award of Merit for earning the highest grade point average in the sophomore class. Animal and dairy science students that were initiated into the Iowa chapter were: Erin Chalupa from Keota, Iowa, Aaron Gerdts in dairy science from St. Ansgar, Iowa, Madison Golden from Omaha, Nebraska, Megan Hogan from Farley, Iowa, Payton Phelps, from Pella, Iowa, Chloe Ryan from Naperville, Ill, Allison Wessels from Belmond, Iowa, Brandon Bruhn from Ely, Iowa, Megan Conray from Frankfort, Ill, Sara Glab from Somonauk, Ill, Kayleen Hammer from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Julia Harris from Weatherford, TX, Megan Hiller from Logan, Iowa, Shay Lierman from Cuba City, Wisconsin, Garett Onstot from Carlisle, Iowa, Shelby Robinson from Battle Ground, Indiana, and Jessica Van Der Heyden from Ankeny, Iowa.

Graduate students that were initiated included: Ella Akin from Corning, Iowa, Remy Carmichael from Lubbock, Texas, Krysten Craft from Bellevue, Nebraska, Meaghan Meyer from Manning, Iowa and H.K.J.P. Wickramasinghe from Ranala Western Province in Sri Lanka.
