"American Royal 4th and International 1st: For the second consecutive year, Iowa State College won the Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest at the International Live Stock Exposition in Chicago, thereby gaining a second leg on the National Live Stock and Meat Board's rotating challenge trophy, which must be won three years for permanent possession. The Meat Board sponsors the contest. Carl F. Neumann, Chicago, general manager of the Board, presents trophy to Professor E. A. Kline and his team in the photo. Iowa State placed first both in pork judging and in lamb judging. Gallery was high individual in judging lamb. Team mates Goll, Gallery and Greiman were the second, third, and fourth high individuals in the entire contest in which 72 students from 24 colleges and universities participated."
