The 1966 team took 8th place at the collegiate livestock judging contest at the International Livestock Show in Chicago, 2nd at the National Barrow Show, 13 at the Kansas City Royal, 5th at Denver Western, 7th at Denver Carlot, and 8th at the Fort Worth Southwest.
