Meet the new Iowa State University Poultry Farm Manager – Jessica Menke

Jessica MenkeJessica Menke has been selected to manage the Robert T. Hamilton Poultry Teaching & Research Farm at Iowa State University. Menke most recently worked as the layer flock supervisor at the Poultry Teaching & Research Farm prior to her new role as the Poultry Farm Manager.

Menke is a former Iowa State Animal Science student, graduating with her B.S. in 2018 and then completing the Midwest Poultry Consortium Center of Excellence Scholarship Program. She also worked as an undergraduate laboratory research assistant in the ISU Applied Poultry Nutrition Lab and was active in the Block & Bridle Club while attending Iowa State.

She has had excellent experience in the industry including an internship at Select Genetics Turkey Hatchery and as a Live Production Manager at Rose Acre Farms in Indiana. Her role as the layer flock supervisor at the Iowa State Poultry Teaching & Research Farm prepared her for her new position as the manager.
