NAILE 2021 Dairy Judging Team Results

In early November 2021, the Iowa State dairy judging team competed in the North American International Livestock Exposition’s Intercollegiate Dairy Cattle Judging Contest held in Louisville, KY.  Team members included: Amanda Engelken, Earlville, IA; Anna Hanson, Decorah, IA; Brianna McBride, Severance, CO; and Jessica Schmitt, Fort Atkinson, IA. 

In the Ayrshire Division, Iowa State was 10th Overall and in the Brown Swiss Division the team was 13th.  The team was consistent in that they remained 12th overall in the following breeds: Guernseys, Holsteins, and Jerseys.  Also, the team was 12th overall in reasons and finished the contest in 12th place overall.  The ISU dairy judging team looks forward to competing in their final collegiate dairy cattle judging contest which will be held in January at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in Fort Worth, TX.
