ASAS Hosts a Scientific Writing Workshop

Description automatically generated Animal Science. This two-day in-person program was delivered to young scientists in ASAS. The workshop's primary goal was to hone writing skills, understand the peer review process, and develop strategies to respond to reviewer comments. Participants also received feedback on their own work from course instructors. Workshop instructors include Jim Sartin, CEO of ASAS; Teresa Davis, Editor in Chief of the Journal of Nutrition; Steve Zinn, former Editor in Chief of the Journal of Animal Science; Jim Oltjen, Editor in Chief of Translational Animal Science, and Elisabeth Huff-Lonergan, Editor in Chief of the Journal of Animal Science. The workshop is a service provided by ASAS for ASAS members. The American Society of Animal Science is planning future workshops.
