On April 12, 2025, the Iowa State University Department of Animal Science, alongside the Iowa State Block and Bridle Club, hosted its annual Animal Science Banquet. The evening was filled with celebration, recognition, and networking. Guests enjoyed a delicious prime rib dinner, provided by the Iowa State Meat Lab, which set the tone for a night that honored the department’s hard work and achievements.
A highlight of the evening was the dessert auction, which raised over $500 for Passel Provides, a program providing aid in food insecurity. The banquet also served as an opportunity to award thousands of dollars in scholarships and recognize outstanding animal science students for their academic and extracurricular accomplishments throughout the year.
Faculty and staff were also honored for their dedication to creating an exceptional learning environment, reinforcing the department’s commitment to excellence. A special thank you goes to Block and Bridle members Ashtyn Jolly, Tayler Schnedler, and Audrey Snider for their thoughtful planning and execution of the event.
