Iowa State University presented 20 yearling horses in its 2025 consignment. Hip 31, Evelyn, a dark bay filly by Take Charge Indy out of Surpass owned by Iowa State University and Allen Poindexter stole the show when the hammer fell at $92,000 shattering the previous sales record of $60,000. Ethelyn was purchased by Judy Pryor of Omaha, Nebraska.

In addition to presenting the sales topper, Iowa State University was this year's leading consignor by number of horses sold and sales revenue with 18 horses selling for a total of $476,700. With the 14 horses owned in part or entirely by ISU totaling $397,700.

Nine students spent the summer alongside farm staff preparing the yearling horses for this sale. Sales preparation officially began in June with students learning about key concepts in horse training and culminating with an introduction to horse sales and industry at the ITBOA Fall Sale event.
