Block and Bridle Hosts a Record-Breaking Animal Learning Day

On April 12, 2025, the Iowa State University Block and Bridle Club hosted yet another successful Animal Learning Day, welcoming attendees of all ages to explore the industry through hands-on experiences. Each year, the club collaborates with various industry commodity groups and university clubs to provide endless learning opportunities.

The free public event broke a new attendance record of over 2,300 visitors who traveled from around the state to experience the various sectors that agriculture has to offer. Guests enjoyed a variety of activities, including animal exhibits from Block and Bridle’s species interest groups, the Dairy Science Club with their “I Milked a Cow” experience, tours of the Iowa State Teaching Farms, lunch provided by the Iowa Pork Producers Association, and so much more.

The 2025 Animal Learning Day, planned by the 2024-2025 Block and Bridle Officer Team, showcased not only the diversity of the agricultural industry but also the excellence of the Department of Animal Science. The excitement of the event left attendees eager to return for next year’s celebration of agriculture!
