Three Iowa State University CALS Students Receive Scholarships

If you are walking around campus or traveling through Kildee, Curtiss, or Lagomarcino halls take some time to congratulate these students for receiving awards from the the North American Meat Institute Scholarship Foundation.  The NAMI Annual Meeting took place November 2nd - 5th in Washington, D.C.  Eight students received scholarships to further their education in meat and food science, culinary arts and animal science.  Besides receiving monetary awards, the students also received funding to attend the annual meeting and outlook conference as well as a plaque to recognize their accomplishment.  

Below are the Cyclone students that received the honors:  

  • Brian Patterson, Animal Science major,  was awarded the Al Piccetti scholarship.
  • Ashley Moyna, Culinary Science and Dietetics major,  received the Robert Hatoff 'Center of the Plate' Memorial scholarship.
  • Breanna Branderhorst, Agriculture Education major, received the NAMI Undergraduate Scholarship
