Please note: The selection of a major program on your application will lead to your application being reviewed only by faculty members within that major. For example, if you apply to the Animal Breeding and Genetics major, your application will be evaluated only by our Animal Breeding and Genetics faculty. Please pay particular attention to your selection of major program.
If you wish to be considered for admission to more than one major program, you must indicate your choices both on your application form and in your statement of purpose.
Interdepartmental Majors
The Department of Animal Science also participates in interdepartmental majors, thus providing a highly diverse blend of students and faculty, and a unique environment for graduate study. We serve as one of the home departments for students in these majors. Please note: each interdepartmental program observes its own procedures for application and admission. When applying to one of these programs, please consult the appropriate program Web site and/or Graduate Coordinator to ensure you follow the proper procedure.
