In addition, there are specialized options in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Livestock Management, Animal Products, Companion Animal Management, Equine Management and Pre-graduate and Pre-professional studies. Experiential learning is valued at ISU as we have livestock farms in all of the species areas as well as exposure to research and development. Production Animal - Veterinary Early Acceptance Program (PA - VEAP)

The primary goal of Production Animal - Veterinary Early Acceptance Program (PA - VEAP) is to recruit and retain future veterinarians practicing food animal medicine, primarily in underserved areas.

Internships

Exchange your efforts for credit. The Animal Science internship program (ANS 399A) expands education by including academic credit for a meaningful work experience in the bachelor of science degree program (up to 6 credits can be earned and applied towards a BS degree). The program combines periods of supervised employment and on-campus assignments.
