Welcome to Iowa State University Undergraduate Teaching. We invite you to explore our site to discover more information about our curriculum, club opportunities, internships, financial resources, and study abroad experiences. We offer two major programs – Animal Science and Dairy Science. In addition, there are specialized options in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Livestock Management, Animal Products, Companion Animal Management, Equine Management and Pre-graduate and Pre-professional studies. Experiential learning is valued at ISU as we have livestock farms in all of the species areas as well as exposure to research and development. Whether you choose to attain an advanced degree or directly pursue a career, the options in this growing field are endless. Iowa State takes great pride in preparing students for the workforce and boast a 98.9% placement rate upon graduation.

Production Animal - Veterinary Early Acceptance Program (PA - VEAP)
The primary goal of Production Animal - Veterinary Early Acceptance Program (PA - VEAP) is to recruit and retain future veterinarians practicing food animal medicine, primarily in underserved areas.

University Livestock Farms
We value experiential learning! Explore the Iowa State University Teaching Farms, located south of campus. Gain invaluable experience with farm management and see first-hand the cutting-edge research, all while earning wages to assist with college expenses.
Internships
Exchange your efforts for credit. The Animal Science internship program (ANS 399A) expands education by including academic credit for a meaningful work experience in the bachelor of science degree program (up to 6 credits can be earned and applied towards a BS degree). The program combines periods of supervised employment and on-campus assignments.
